Abstract
Role of multidetector CT volume visualization in the evaluation of pediatric airway conditions
Author(s): Mark D Ebert and Elliot K FishmanHistorically, the evaluation of respiratory disorders in children has been accomplished via conventional flexible bronchoscopy. Our objective is to discuss and illustrate the role of multidetector CT volume visualization as a noninvasive alternative in the evaluation of pediatric airway conditions. We conclude that MDCT volume visualization is a useful diagnostic noninvasive method for the evaluation of the pediatric airway in a variety of airway pathologies.
