Abstract

Explore the world of lasers with the master herself. It's a great time for dentists to consider an update to their practices! Lasers can prove to be a blessing in disguise if used  safely  and  properly. Unlike traditional tools, dental lasers can improve their patient’s experiences by eliminating the certain drawbacks associated with them. This knowledge filled clinical based session will give an insight on Lasers right from the basics of laser science to most advanced soft and hard tissue dental applications. It will include plenitude of indications in all of  the  Disciplines of Dentistry (Oral medicine,  Periodontics,  Pedodontics,  Prosthodontics, Orthodontics, Oral Surgery, Exodontia). Also the importance of using lasers in Photobiomodulation would be discussed. The overall goal of session is to provide dental professionals with an understanding on application of lasers in dentistry, make them aware of all the do’s and don’ts with the use of lasers, provide bang-on clinical tips and tricks to make lasing effortless for the clinicians and their patients.

Biography

Sana Farista (MDS) clinician, researcher and speaker is into dental practice since 13 years and runs a successful practice in Mumbai, the first exclusive dental laser lounge in India. She is a World recognized Speaker for Lasers in Dentistry and Lecturing and Conducting many Pre-Conference, Skill Training Sessions (Hands on), Workshop, Live Surgical Demonstrations and Certificate Courses on Soft & Hard Tissue Laser all over India (ISP, IDA, Encode Academy etc) for 10 years now. She mentors for various Diploma, Fellowship and Mastership in Advance Dental Laser Program. She is the Founder of Divas in Laser, a platform for women across the globe to come up, get groomed and showcase their talent in the field of laser dentistry. Also a Member of Academy of Laser Dentistry and Leading the ALD Chapter India and was an Ex-Speaker for Biolase for 8 years. She has to her credit numerous national and international publications with a focus on research to establish new technique and protocol for use of laser. She has also been awarded the International Excellence Award (IAE) in London 2018 for Laser Surgeon. And also she is been listed in Top 100 Influential Women in India by Forbes India 2020 owing to her professional and social work.
