BONE HOMEOSTASIS

BONE HOMEOSTASIS can be defined as remodelling is the process of creating  new bone & removing old bone . it occurs constantly in growing children as well as in the following situations such as when bone grow , remodelling causes bone tissue is rediatributed to maintain the structure & shape of the bone .bone homeostasis can be maintained by regulating the levels of calcium & phosphorous in the blood then it leads to healthy skeletal system  vitamin D plays a major role in the maintenance of calcium levels parathyroid harmone plays a major role to  regulate the calcium levels in the blood.2 types of drugs used in bone mineral homeostasis are hormonal regulators like parathyroid harmone , vitamin D , calcitonin , glucocorticoids , estrogens . non hormonal regulators like bisphosphonates , calcimimetics , plicamycin , thiazoles ,fluoride .
