Brain injury occurs when there is a brain or brain function damage or disturbance following an individual's birth. Damaged brain can induce changes in memory, feeling and even personality at times. It can occur due to falls, accidents, assault, oxygen shortage, concussion and other trauma causing brain diseases such as Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, degenerative diseases, Parkinson's disease and brain tumors. Intelligence is usually not affected by the disorder, although cognitive changes such as memory problems, concentration, and attention are usually present. Cerebral disorders are perceived by society to be a severe health concern. Neurologist or neurological specialist may identify and treat brain disease. The symptoms change depending on the phases.
