Brain Tissue
The
brain is the largest and most complex of human organs. It consists of more than billions of nerves, which interact for ordered work in trillions of connections with body systems. Compared to the other primates the human
brain is larger. The
brain of humans consists of cerebral cortex,
brain stem, cerebrum, and cerebellum. The
brain also divided frontal, parietal, temporal, and occipital lobes into four lobes. The skull or cranium helps protect against injury to the brain. Much of the human
brain 's size comes from the cerebral cortex, particularly the frontal lobes that are primarily responsible for self-control, reasoning , planning and thinking.
