Esophagus

 When the mouth is the entrance to the liver, therefore the esophagus becomes a food and drink highway to get to the stomach and move through. That section of the body has a very basic role but it may have a number of diseases. The esophagus is a tube that binds the throat (pharynx) and stomach together. This is approximately eight inches wide (20 centimetres). The esophagus, though, is not just a hollow tube which slides food down like a water slide. The esophagus is composed of muscles contracting to move food to the stomach. That process is known as peristalsis. The likelihood of a polyp becoming cancer depends on the polyp type it is. The 2 key polyp forms are: Adenomatous polyps (adenomas): Sometimes, these polyps change to cancer. Because of this, adenomas are termed pre-cancerous. Hyperplastic polyps and inflammatory polyps: more severe are these polyps, but they are not pre-cancerous in general. Latest research on endoscopic detection and treatment choices for early esophageal cancer is thus outlined in this study. Recently, Asia's authors have also shown that NBI is useful for detecting and characterizing superficial oesophageal squamous cell cancer (SCC) and may substitute chromoendoscopy in regular inspection as it is simple to use and adds a lot of details to traditional white light.
