Hydatid Disease

 Hydatid disease is a type of infection caused due to a variety of microscopic tapeworm. The tapeworm which is responsible for this disease is Echinococcus species. These species are usually found in animals such as dogs, cats, and foxes. As due to the accidental ingestion of these tapeworms or its egg and result in the hydatid disease. Although humans are affected less by this disease, it causes cyst formation in the organs such as liver, lungs, and brain. The other symptoms of these include abdomen pain, weight loss due to the formation of cyst in the body. The treatment includes a minor surgery to remove the cyst present in the lungs and liver. The prevention of hydatid disease includes a personal hygiene.
