Maxillofacial Fractures
Oral and
maxillofacial fractures are common injuries in patients with multiple injuries.
Fractures on the middle face are considered a serious medical problem because of their complex treatment, and not all other injuries to the maxilla. A suitable treatment plan is essential for the aesthetic and functional reconstruction of the central part of the face. Favourable results are ensured through an appropriate interdisciplinary approach and surgical treatment. The authors believe that a comprehensive and universal book on traumatic operations should include a chapter on the subject that covers all aspects of middle facial fractures. Therefore we strive to provide a detailed chapter on the diagnosis and treatment of
fractures in the middle of the face, which can be a complete and useful guide for traumatologists. This fracture occurs with nasofrontal and zygomatomaxillary, zygomatic and pterygoid sutures. Facial trauma, also called maxillofacial trauma, is physical
trauma to the face. Facial
trauma can include soft tissue injuries such as burns, cracks and bruises or facial
fractures such as nose and jaw
fractures and injuries such as eye injuries.
