Myelogenous Leukemia is a type of cancer that affects the White Blood Cells(WBC). This is due to the unregulated growth of myeloid cells in the bone marrow which is the primary source for the growth and development of WBC. Lack of WBC cells have minimal effect in attacking the pathogens and thereby making the system more prone to diseases. This majorly affects the women in the latter stages of their life. Bone marrow biopsy is one of the treatment methods that can influence in removal of myeloid cells that are present in the bone marrow. This may also cause chromosomal abnormality which can affect the genetic tree of that individual.
