An engineer might also be a person that practices engineering — the apparatus of designing, constructing, maintaining, and operating frameworks while safeguarding the overall public and environmental health, well as reforming existing infrastructures that are discarded. Engineering is one of the ancientest engineering regulations because it handles with composed environment combining planning, designing, and inspecting construction and conservation of building structures, and facilities, like roads, railroads, airports, bridges, harbors, channels, dams, irrigation projects, pipelines, power plants, and water and sewage systems.  The term "civil engineer" was authorized by John Smeaton in 1750 to contrast engineers working on civil projects with the military engineers, who performed on armaments and arguments. Over time, various sub-disciplines of engineering became recognized and much of military engineering has been consumed by engineering. Other engineering practices became remembered as independent engineering disciplines, including chemical engineering, engineering, and EE. In some places, an engineer may function land surveying; in others, surveying is restrained to construction surveying, unless an extra qualification is attained. Engineering graduates are the brains behind all the foremost relevant and most necessary structures that surround us – buildings, transport networks, energy and water supplies – then their value within society is great. In recent years, the profession has seen a lack of experienced graduates, meaning that now, quite ever, engineering graduates are highly fashionable.
