Total Quality Management
Total Quality Management ( TQM) is a participatory, systemic method for preparing and executing a cycle of continuous development of the organization. Its approach focuses on meeting the needs of consumers, finding challenges, building engagement and promoting open
decision-making among staff. TQM and most Quality Management Systems focus primarily on enhancing
customer satisfaction by focusing on the customer and consistently meeting customer expectations. When the standards are met, consumers are almost always happy. TQM can be defined as a customer-focused organisation's management mechanism that includes all staff in quality improvement. This uses policy, evidence, and clear communication to incorporate the concept of quality into the organisation's culture and activities.
