Workers Compensation

Providing medical care benefits when a worker is injured or falls ill is done by worker compensation insurance. The coverage under this policy may vary in different countries. Worker compensation insurance is a social insurance and it protect the employer from legal action of employees in case he is injured. Worker compensation is defined as the medical expenses ,rehabilitation cost or lost wages to employees who have been injured and also monetary compensation to families in the case of death at the work place. Employees can claim for worker compensation benefits only it their injury has taken place while at work. Inorder to claim for worker compensation the employee must take a medical certificate from a doctor after the injury and submit for processing with any other local paperwork that may be needed. All companies in most countries with employees hired for work are required to take workers compensation insurance.
